The Art of Smoking Cannabis: Blunts vs Joints
Smoking cannabis has been a popular method of consumption for centuries. It involves inhaling the smoke produced by burning the dried flowers, or buds, of the cannabis plant. This process allows the active compounds in cannabis, such as THC and CBD, to be absorbed into the bloodstream through the lungs, resulting in various effects. The history of smoking cannabis can be traced back thousands of years. In ancient civilizations like China and India, cannabis was used for medicinal and spiritual purposes. It was often consumed by smoking the dried flowers or leaves, sometimes mixed with other herbs or spices. In more recent history, smoking cannabis became popularized in the 20th century, particularly with the rise of counterculture movements like the hippie movement in the 1960s. This cultural shift brought cannabis into the mainstream, leading to the development of various smoking methods and devices. Nowadays, there are several popular ways to smoke cannabis, including blunts and pre-rolls. Let's explore the characteristics and differences between these two methods. One of the notable characteristics of blunts is the flavor profile they offer. Blunts are typically made by hollowing out a cigar or cigarillo and filling it with ground cannabis. The tobacco leaf wrapper used in blunts can impart a distinct flavor and aroma, often combining the flavors of tobacco and cannabis. This combination can create a unique smoking experience that some people find enjoyable. In addition to the flavor, blunts also provide the option for customization. Since you have control over the filling, you can choose different strains of cannabis to create a blend that suits your preferences. This allows you to experiment with different combinations and create personalized flavor profiles. The whole "new age" of smoking weed has really developed some creative ways to smoke. For example, using rose petals to roll blunts. We even have a whole guide on how to do it correctly! Check out how to roll the perfect rose petal blunt here. Pre-rolls are incredibly convenient for cannabis users. They eliminate the need for grinding flower and rolling joints yourself. With pre-rolls, you can skip the preparation process and enjoy a ready-to-smoke joint. This convenience makes pre-rolls a great option for those who may not have the time, expertise, or desire to roll their own joints. Pre-rolls are highly portable, making them ideal for on-the-go consumption. Whether you're heading to a social gathering, going for a hike, or simply want to enjoy cannabis while out and about, pre-rolls offer a convenient and discreet option. They are typically compact and easy to carry, allowing you to enjoy cannabis wherever you choose. Pre-rolls sold in dispensaries are often produced with precision and consistency. This means you can expect a uniform smoking experience from one pre-roll to another. Dispensaries usually source their pre-rolls from reputable producers who follow strict quality control measures, ensuring that each joint is rolled to the same standard. Cannabis Flower Quality: In terms of flower quality, both blunts and pre-rolls can vary depending on the source and the specific product. With blunts, the quality of the cannabis flower used can be influenced by the quality of the cigar or cigarillo being hollowed out. If the cigar or cigarillo is made from lower-grade tobacco, it may not provide the best flavor or burn characteristics. However, if a high-quality cigar or cigarillo is used, it can enhance the overall smoking experience. With pre-rolls, the quality of the cannabis flower used can vary depending on the brand or dispensary. It's important to choose pre-rolls from reputable sources that prioritize using high-quality flower. Some dispensaries may offer pre-rolls made from premium or top-shelf flower, which generally provides a more potent and flavorful experience. Blunts are typically rolled using tobacco leaf wrappers, which can impart a distinct tobacco flavor and aroma. The use of tobacco leaf wrappers can add complexity to the smoking experience, combining the flavors of cannabis and tobacco. However, it's important to note that using tobacco leaf wrappers introduces potential health risks associated with tobacco consumption. On the other hand, pre-rolls are commonly made with rolling papers specifically designed for cannabis consumption. These rolling papers are often made from materials like hemp, rice, or wood pulp, which are generally free from additives and provide a clean burn. The choice of rolling paper can affect the taste and burn characteristics of the pre-roll, with different materials offering slightly different experiences. Grab your North Coast Tier 3 Blunts here at JARS Light up one of these 40’s Infused Blunts by Stiiizy at your closest JARS In general, pre-rolls tend to contain a smaller amount of weed compared to blunts. Pre-rolls are typically rolled using standard-sized rolling papers, which are designed to hold a specific amount of cannabis. This amount can range from approximately 0.5 grams to 1 gram or more, depending on the size of the pre-roll and the brand or dispensary producing it. On the other hand, blunts tend to have a larger capacity, as they are typically rolled using cigar or cigarillo wrappers. These tobacco leaf wrappers can hold a larger amount of cannabis, usually ranging from 1 to 2 grams or even more, depending on the size of the cigar or cigarillo being used. Blunts are often preferred for social gatherings or special occasions, while pre-rolls are ideal for on-the-go use. The choice between blunts and pre-rolls ultimately depends on personal preference and the occasion. Blunts offer a unique advantage when it comes to customization and flavor. Rolling a blunt allows you to combine different strains of cannabis to create a personalized blend that suits your preferences. This level of customization gives you the opportunity to explore various flavor profiles and effects. By selecting specific strains, you can tailor your smoking experience to your desired taste, aroma, and intensity. Furthermore, blunts provide a distinct flavor due to the use of tobacco leaf wrappers. The combination of cannabis and tobacco creates a flavor profile that is often described as rich, earthy, and robust. If you enjoy the taste and aroma of tobacco, blunts can provide a unique and enjoyable smoking experience. Pre-rolls offer a range of benefits when it comes to convenience and portability. They are pre-rolled and ready to smoke, eliminating the need for grinding cannabis flower and rolling your own joint. This convenience makes pre-rolls a great choice for those who prefer a hassle-free experience or those who may not have the time or expertise to roll their own joints. Additionally, pre-rolls are highly portable and easy to use. They are compact and can be easily carried in a pocket, purse, or backpack, making them ideal for on-the-go consumption. Whether you're heading to a social gathering, going for a hike, or simply want to enjoy cannabis while out and about, pre-rolls provide a convenient and discreet option. Ultimately, the choice between blunts and pre-rolls depends on personal preferences and habits. Taste plays a significant role in decision-making, as some individuals may enjoy the unique flavor combination of cannabis and tobacco that blunts offer. On the other hand, those who prefer a cleaner taste may lean towards pre-rolls made with rolling papers specifically designed for cannabis. Habits and social settings also come into play. If you tend to consume cannabis in larger quantities or prefer sharing with friends, blunts, with their larger size, may be more suitable. However, if you prefer smaller, more controlled doses or enjoy solo sessions, pre-rolls offer a range of sizes to accommodate different preferences.Types of Cannabis Rolls

How to Store Pre-Rolls So They Stay Fresh?
We get it. You picked up a pre-roll at JARS, and it hit the spot… quick. You are now faced with the ultimatum of smoking the rest of it, and risking getting too high, or you can put it out and save it for later. Just putting it out and leaving it in your ashtray is understandable if you plan on lighting ‘er back up in a few minutes. But, we all know that smell of smoked cannabis that can linger once it’s been lit. You are also faced with several negative factors by leaving your pre-roll chilling all willy-nilly. Moisture, loss of flavor, getting crushed, and so on. Luckily, there are some cheap and highly effective ways to store pre-rolls so they stay fresh. Even if you haven’t had the chance to light it up and are saving it for a rainy day, the right storage for your pre-rolls is going to give you the satisfaction you deserve. It’s more than likely that you won’t store a pre-rolled joint long enough for it to go stale. If you follow the best ways to store weed, like what we’re talking about here, remembering a couple of months later that you have a pre-roll stashed away is nothing to worry about! You’re good to light ‘er up and get your toke on. But, leaving it sitting out on top of your dresser a couple of days will make a difference in taste and effects. The shelf-life of a properly stored pre-roll is around a year. A surefire way to tell if your pre-roll is stale is if it no longer has its skunky smell. There are a few reasons why different pre-rolls require different packaging. Typically these requirements are enforced by state regulations and laws. For Michigan, pre-roll packaging has to be labeled correctly, childproof, and sealed. It’s also a good idea not to use one single container for different types of pre-rolls. There are a plethora of options when it comes to cannabis accessories and storage options. Here at JARS, we carry the top brands in Michigan. For example, Muha Meds and STIIIZY Infused Pre-Roll Packs already come in a sealed jar. We wouldn’t suggest that you put a half-smoked joint back into the same package with fresh pre-rolls, especially with infused pre-rolls. When caked in kief or rolled in rosin, storing fresh infused pre-rolls with ones that are half smoked will give the whole package a nasty smell. Your pre-roll is best kept at temps comfortable to you(60-70 F). If you leave your pre-roll sitting out on a hot sunny day, it’s going to dry out. If your flower gets too hot, it can cause decarboxylation which lowers the active THC. You should avoid aluminum, tin, metal, etc. storage since it is prone to heating with sun exposure. On the other end of the thermometer, storing your pre-rolls in a colder environment will deplete its potency and lose a majority of its flavor. Even worse, when it comes to cold temperatures, you are increasing the risk of moisture buildup, this is a golden ticket to moldy weed. Regulating humidity and moisture levels for weed storage might seem like an ‘over-the-top’ precaution to take for a pre-roll. If you are already storing your pre-rolls in an airtight container (like this air-tight stash jar by Raw) and in a dark, room-temp spot, you won’t have to worry too much about humidity and moisture. Low humidity can cause your joints to dry out more quickly. The ideal humidity for storing weed is between 55 and 65 percent. In relation, the typical humidity level in a regular air-conditioned home is between 30 and 40 percent, which is too dry for keeping weed fresh. Having too much humidity is like trying to smoke in a sauna, all sorts of moist-ness. If you suspect that humidity is the cause of your pre-roll woes, you can look into getting yourself a Humidor Jar. These come with a humidifier and hygrometer, so you can control the humidity like a boss. You can also just take the budget-friendly and simple way by grabbing a few humidity packets and putting them into your pre-roll storage container. When you take advantage of the pre-roll bundle discounts at JARS you can end up with a few month’s supply at a price you can’t pass up. The final pre-roll of your inventory should taste and smoke just as fresh as the first one you lit up from the batch. There are also situations when it comes to needing a tolerance break from cannabis. Taking a few weeks or months off to let your body reset while you still have a stash is, well, extremely tempting but also rewarding when you know the cannabis is still going to be fresh. Hands down, your safest and best option for long-term storage for pre-roll joints is an opaque glass jar. There is a reason why you see all of our flower at JARS, well… in glass jars. They are durable, tightly sealed, and don’t influence the chemical makeup of the strain. For example, a plastic Ziploc bag will cause the flower to adhere to the plastic, leaving behind valuable trichomes. When it comes to pre-rolls, storing them in a plastic bag isn’t a great idea because of how easily it is for them to get crushed. The benefit of an opaque glass jar is its ability to block UV sun exposure from the contents stored in it. Glass jars are also perfect for storing your pre roll joints at home. Since they are more discreet and harder to get into, curious children and your family pet are less likely to get to your stash. Many mason jars allow you to label and customize them so you don’t have to second guess which jar is storing which pre-roll. Since most glass jars are advertised to preserve food and herbs, they are an efficient and cheap pre-roll storage option. You just scored a deal on the many options for pre-roll packs at JARS. Usually in packs of 3 or 5 pre-rolls, they can last you a few days or weeks. We mentioned that brands like Muha Meds and STIIIZY package their pre-rolls in an air-tight sealed jar and will keep them fresh for weeks. But, there are many situations where a bulky glass jar isn’t practical storage for your pre-roll joint. When attending one of your favorite cannabis events in Michigan, having a pre-roll ready to go is pretty close to mandatory, right? The last thing you want to do is shove it in your pants pocket or one of your ‘hidden compartments’ in your purse. Pocket lint, no thank you. Do you really want to hesitate your every move, just to make sure you don’t crush your pre-roll? You can literally save the day by storing your pre-roll correctly when out and about! Accessories like a cannabis fanny pack are an absolute must-have. With a lock for extra security and multiple storage compartments for your phone, lighter, cash, ID and, of course, your pre-roll. We mentioned it before and we’ll mention it again, there is a strong not-so-pleasant odor that comes from a half-smoked joint. If you really want to eliminate cannabis odor from your unfinished pre-roll, the first step is putting it into an air-tight or vacuum-sealed canister. Some insulated glass jars have vacuum-seal technology, UV protection, and some are even temperature-controlled! BUT, and this is a big but, don’t rely on vacuum-seal storage options thinking you can fool a drug-sniffing canine. There is just so much harm that the sun, high temps, and air cause to your cannabis pre-roll joints. Your main goal is to avoid those factors. Some of you may opt to store a pre-roll to-go in a cigarette pack, that’s fine, but expect to walk around with an undeniable pungent aroma. There are desperate times when you can use an old pill bottle. It’s opaque and has a tight-seal, child-proof lid. The main problem with this option is the fact that you want to avoid storing your pre-rolls in any type of plastic since you risk chemicals like BPA coming in contact with your goods. When you purchase flower at a dispensary, it’s typically packaged in a Mylar bag. These are high-quality reusable, leak-proof, moisture-resistant pouched bags. They’re nice to keep around when you have a half-smoked pre-roll you want to stash for later. At JARS, when you purchase our ‘deli-style’ flower, depending on how many grams, it comes packaged in a plastic dram container for more comfy storage. How Long Can You Store a Pre-Rolled Joint?

Must-Have Weed Smoking Accessories
The joint and bowl pack are the OG's of cannabis consumption, But, concentrates, infused pre-rolls and edibles have expanded into the scene, bringing more exciting ways to experience a quality high. The next trip you make into your local JARS dispensary, check out the wide selection of must-have weed smoking accessories.
Now, it's not mandatory to have a treasure chest full of weed smoking accessories in order to benefit from smoking cannabis. Just think about a simple pre-roll. There is the rolling paper, the flower, the filter or crutch, and of course you need fire. Kind of the whole convenience and purpose of pre-rolls, you don't need to obtain all of the items used. All of these weed smoking accessories are meant to completely elevate your whole experience. Whether it's for convenience, efficiency, or an elevated high, spending a couple extra bucks on these items will get you there. From grinders to rolling papers, bongs to dab rigs, vaporizers to lighters, and carrying cases to storage, there is an accessory for every smoker. There are several subcategories of weed smoking accessories, like tools and gadgets. If you are a heavy smoker, some of these items could change the game for you. If you are a very light smoker, there are still items that bring a huge benefit to your smoke sesh. There is really no need to go out and stock up on the top-of-the-line weed smoking accessories if you're new to the scene. The simple basics like a grinder, lighter, and small glass bowl or rolling papers will get the job done. Rolling a quality joint takes practice and not something you might get the hang of right away. But hey, there is an accessory for that! There are so many products available that are meant to make smoking cannabis easier, safer, less costly, and even minimize the smell for a more incognito smoking experience. Alright, let's get the ball rolling here. Starting with the pretty close to mandatory weed-smoking accessories, grinders and papers. Not saying that you can't, but if you put fresh nugs in a joint without grinding it, you're not only wasting a bunch of flower, you won't enjoy the smoking experience. You need to grind your buds. When shopping for a weed grinder, look for one with sharp, durable teeth to grind your herb effectively. A grinder with multiple compartments, like a kief catcher, can be handy too. As for rolling papers, consider the size (like regular, king size, or extra-long), material (rice, hemp, or wood pulp), and flavor options to suit your preferences. When you're shopping for a new piece, look at what material it is made out of. Glass is a popular choice due to its smooth hits and easy cleaning. You'll want a piece that has thick, durable glass. You might pay a little extra for it, but you'll be thankful when you accidentally drop it and it doesn't shatter into a million pieces. Silicone is also durable and great for travel. But, do your best to avoid plastic, as it can release harmful chemicals when heated. Smoking out of a pipe or bong can be done as is, or you can add other accessories. These include screens to prevent your weed from being inhaled. Special cleaning brushes and solutions formulated specifically for cleaning resin. Even replacement parts like bowls or downstems. When it comes to lighting up, use a lighter for flower and a torch for dabs. Lighters, just like a joint, bowl, or bong, are convenient and easy to use. A torch is needed for dabs because it reaches a higher temperature, which is required for vaporizing the concentrates. You don't want to use a lighter to heat up your dabs, it won't get the concentrate hot enough to vaporize. On the other hand, you don't want to use a torch to light your fresh flower. Torching ground up weed causes combustion and can ruin the cannabinoids and terpenes. There is another, all-natural, alternative accessory made for lighting your cannabis. Hemp wick, made from hemp fibers that are coated in beeswax, eliminates the need for butane. It provides a cleaner taste and more organic smoking sesh. Ask anyone who smokes cigarettes, cigars, weed, or lights a lot of candles. Their answer is most likely going to be "Flick the Bic", in reference to the Bic brand. Yeah the same one that makes pens and shaving razors. Their lighters are, and have been, the smokers lighter. The brand has all of the qualities; child lock, crazy durable, and adjustable flame are the highlights. If you are someone who smokes outside, you want a reliable flame, one that won't go out with a simple breeze. You want a lighter that lights on the first flick. And hey, a refillable lighter isn't a bad idea either. Things change, become more advanced, simplified, and ultimately, on trend with the rest of the products sold around the world. Once scientist's and die hard cannabis connoisseurs got their hands on a quality extraction process, the rise of cannabis concentrates began. This brought on vaporizers, and a majority of them are handheld on-the-go devices. These portable vape pens are the definition of versatility. You can customize things like the temperature, voltage, and many vape pen batteries allow you to switch out concentrate tips. Your two main options will be a battery pen or a disposable vape. Both are prime options to enjoy concentrates on the go. When you have a bulk amount of weed, even just an extra nug or two to get you through the week, it needs to be stored. Don't let your fresh flower sit all willy nilly out in the open. Even though it's a plant, an herb, it ages faster than things like basil or a bouquet of flowers. The main goal when it comes to storing weeds is keeping heat and humidity out by putting it into an airtight sealed jar. These things are more toxic than your ex. It doesn't take long before these cause your flower to lose its potency, flavor, and overall quality. What's worse than smoking bad weed? Frantically searching for your lighter, grinder, papers, ashtray, etc. When they aren't all in one designated spot you'll end up getting crushed up papers, find your grinder apart and ground up weed everywhere, the disappointment goes on. Did someone say road trip?! Even if you're just taking the quick trip over to your buddies spot to smoke and chill, don't show up empty handed. A convenient carrying case not only helps with keeping everything in one place, specific cases will eliminate odor, and are made with a hard protective shell. There are several options on the market for containers that are smell-proof, waterproof, and have an airtight seal. Many brands use vacuum-seal technology along with rubber or silicone seals. These are great qualities to have for a cannabis carry case. There are weed smoking accessories that are of extreme value to have while others are more of a luxury. For you avid smokers, some of these accessories have been acquired over time. It's all about your specific smoking style. You might just need the basics; grinder, rolling papers, and a lighter for chilling at home. Some of you find your smoking seshes much more enjoyable with an added filter, or fancy flavored rolling papers. Either way, keeping your weed smoking accessories organized and stored the right way is always mandatory.Introduction to Weed Accessories

Understanding Blunt Wraps
We are going to be real blunt with you. Picking and choosing which method to consume your cannabis flower is a recurring thought in our minds. For a quick and easy puff, packing a bowl is the way to go. Want to relax and unwind long enough to smoke a joint? When it's time to share the love amongst a group of friends, don't show up without the best wraps for blunts.
When it comes to smoking blunts in comparison to other methods, we look at it as the "special occasion celebration" piece. Especially with flavored blunt wraps that add a sweet taste and make any newbie enjoy the experience.
Definition and History of Blunt Wraps
The history of smoking cannabis can be traced back thousands of years. In ancient civilizations like China and India, cannabis was used for medicinal and spiritual purposes. It was often consumed by smoking the dried flowers or leaves, sometimes mixed with other herbs or spices. Eventually they appeared in the Caribbean, where people used tobacco leaves to wrap their herbs, and later made their way to the United States during the 1980s. They became popular in cities and are now an essential part of smoking culture around the globe.
Types of Blunt Wraps
Tobacco Free Blunt Wraps
As awareness about the potential health risks associated with tobacco has grown, the demand for tobacco-free blunt wraps has increased. These wraps are made from alternative materials such as hemp, banana leaves, rose petals, corn husks, or even edible materials like vegetable-based papers. They offer a tobacco-free, all-natural smoking experience while still providing a similar rolling and smoking experience as traditional blunt wraps.
Many brands that carry tobacco-free blunt wraps also come in many flavors like fruit, mint, and "California Dream". Brands like Stiiizy, Zig Zag, and High Hemp have 100% natural and pure hemp wraps.
The Importance of Tobacco Free Blunt Wraps
In 2016, a study was conducted to examine the amount of nicotine present in five different blunt wraps. The results showed that each wrap contained between 1.2mg and 6mg of nicotine, while a typical cigarette contains about 10mg of nicotine. When considering the nicotine lost in secondhand smoke and the body's ability to absorb it, smokers typically take in 1-2 milligrams of nicotine per cigarette.
The study concluded that the nicotine levels in blunt wraps are unlikely to lead to addiction. However, it did not investigate how it might impact individuals who are already addicted to nicotine or those trying to quit.
Flavored and Specialty Wraps
These wraps are typically made from tobacco leaves but infused with various flavors such as fruit, dessert, or exotic special edition tastes. The added flavors can enhance the overall smoking experience and can be a fun way to experiment with different taste profiles.
Specialty blunt wraps are often unique in terms of appearance, design, or added features. For example, there are transparent blunt wraps that allow you to see the contents inside, gold or silver wraps that add a touch of luxury, or even pre-rolled blunt wraps that simplify the rolling process. These specialty wraps can add a bit of flair and customization to your smoking experience.
Common Flavored Blunt Wraps
Fruit flavors: Strawberry, blueberry, watermelon, mango, cherry, grape, pineapple, apple, peach, raspberry, and mixed berry.
Dessert flavors: Chocolate, vanilla, caramel, cookie dough, cinnamon, marshmallow, coffee, mint chocolate chip, and birthday cake.

What You Need to Know About the Tobacco and Cannabis Industries
Using tobacco-based blunt wraps comes with the health risks associated with tobacco consumption, including nicotine addiction and potential harm to the respiratory system. Non-tobacco options may be seen as a healthier alternative for some individuals.
Top Blunt Wrap Brands
Backwoods
The original Backwoods cigars are crafted using entirely natural tobacco leaves, providing an added kick. They are available in different flavors such as Honey Bourbon and Sweet Aromatic. Their unique selling point lies in their hand-rollable design, eliminating the need to cut them open like other cigars often used for making blunts.
Billionaire Hemp Wraps
Billionaire Hemp Wraps are a popular brand of hemp rolling papers known for their smooth, slow-burning, and flavorful qualities. They are made from 100% natural hemp and come in a variety of flavors, including Natural, OGK, Pink Lemonade, Sweet Stacks, Majestic Grape, Russian Cream, and Ballin'.
Swisher Sweets
Priced at two wraps for a dollar and available in a variety of unique and seasonal flavors, they have gained popularity for good reason. These blunts are so well-liked that they are sold in over 90 countries worldwide, and it's unlikely that many people are purchasing them to smoke the cigarillo itself.
While Swisher Sweets may not come with the traditional tobacco leaf for wrapping your blunt, they still provide a smooth smoking experience. Additionally, compared to other wraps, you might find that with Swishers, the flavor of the cannabis is still prominent.
Dutch Masters Cigarillos
Dutch Master is a well-known brand of blunt wraps that is widely available at gas stations and convenience stores across the country. Dutches are so enjoyable because they provide a smooth smoking experience. What sets Dutch Masters apart is their extra-long size, making them perfect for sharing with a group of friends. The only downside is that they tend to be a bit pricier compared to other blunts on the market.
White Owls
White Owls bear a striking resemblance to Swisher Sweets. They belong to the same category of cigarillos, are available in a wide variety of flavors (at least in the U.S.), and are priced at two for 99 cents. These cigarillos are ideal when you don't have a lot of weed to spare for a blunt because they are slightly smaller than other well-known wraps. Perfect for a solo smoke session or for sharing with one or two friends.
What to Look For in the Best Wraps for Blunts
Durability: A high-quality blunt wrap should be sturdy and resistant to tearing or unraveling during the rolling process. It should be able to hold the cannabis securely without falling apart.
Even Burning: A good blunt wrap should have an even and consistent burn, allowing the cannabis inside to burn evenly as well. This ensures a smooth and enjoyable smoking experience without any uneven burning or canoeing.
Flavor Preservation: If you're using a flavored blunt wrap, it's important that the flavor is preserved throughout the smoking session. A high-quality wrap will retain its flavor without overpowering or diminishing the taste of the cannabis.
Minimal Residue: A good blunt wrap should produce minimal ash or residue, reducing the chances of unwanted debris or particles being inhaled while smoking.
Easy Rolling: A high-quality blunt wrap should be easy to roll, providing a smooth and hassle-free rolling experience. It should hold its shape well and not be overly difficult to work with.
Consistency: When purchasing blunt wraps, it's important to find a brand or type that consistently meets your expectations. Look for wraps that have a reputation for maintaining quality across multiple purchases.
What Does "Burn Rate" Mean with Blunt Wrap?
Smoking Duration: The burn rate affects how long a blunt will last. A faster burn rate means the blunt will burn more quickly, resulting in a shorter smoking session. On the other hand, a slower burn rate can make the blunt last longer, allowing for a more extended smoking experience.
Control Over Intensity: The burn rate can also affect the intensity of the smoking experience. A faster burn rate may result in a hotter and potentially harsher smoke, while a slower burn rate can offer a smoother and more controlled burn. This can be particularly important for those who prefer a slower and more relaxed smoking session.
Conservation of Cannabis: The burn rate can also impact how efficiently the cannabis inside the blunt is consumed. A slower burn rate allows for better temperature control, ensuring a more even burn and reducing the chances of wasting cannabis. This can be beneficial for those who want to make the most out of their cannabis and minimize any potential waste.
Rolling the Perfect Blunt
Step 1: Gather your materials
Blunt wrap: Choose your preferred blunt wrap, such as a tobacco leaf or a tobacco-free alternative.
Cannabis: Make sure you have finely ground cannabis ready for rolling.
Grinder (optional): Using a grinder can help achieve a consistent grind.
Step 2: Prepare the blunt wrap
Gently manipulate the blunt wrap between your fingers to loosen it up, making it easier to roll.
If the wrap has a curved side and a straight side, position it with the curved side facing up.
Step 3: Moistening the wrap (if needed)
If the blunt wrap feels dry, you can lightly moisten it to improve its pliability. Use your tongue or a damp cloth to moisten the wrap, being careful not to make it too wet.
Step 4: Fill and shape the blunt
Evenly distribute your ground cannabis along the length of the blunt wrap, leaving some space at the ends.
Using your fingertips, gently shape the cannabis into a cylindrical form within the wrap.
Step 5: Rolling and sealing
Start rolling from one end, tucking the wrap around the cannabis. Use your thumbs and index fingers to guide the rolling motion.
Apply light and even pressure as you roll, ensuring the cannabis stays in place.
Once the blunt is rolled, moisten the adhesive edge of the wrap and seal it by pressing down firmly.
Step 6: Finishing touches
Trim any excess wrap from the ends of the blunt for a clean and tidy appearance.
Gently pack the cannabis inside the blunt by tapping it against a flat surface, ensuring an even burn.
Step 7: Enjoy your perfectly rolled blunt

Navigating the Different Spectrums of Cannabis Oils: A Comprehensive Guide
CBD is short for cannabidiol, a compound you find in cannabis and hemp. Don't worry, it's not like THC - the stuff in marijuana that gets you high. CBD doesn't mess with your head at all. Instead, it works with your body's own system to help you feel more relaxed and calm.
Many people struggle with feelings of stress, restlessness, or even trouble sleeping sometimes. But did you know there's a natural solution derived from hemp plants that could help soothe those discomforts? That solution is CBD. CBD is short for cannabidiol, a compound you find in cannabis and hemp. Don't worry, it's not like THC - the stuff in marijuana that gets you high. CBD doesn't mess with your head at all. Instead, it works with your body's own system to help you feel more relaxed and calm. Think of CBD as a chill pill from nature. People usually take it as an oil you drop under your tongue, or in tasty forms like gummies or chocolates. The idea is that it might help with stress, pain, or anxiety, without any of the fuzzy-headed feelings you'd get from weed. Cannabis plants come in two main types: hemp and marijuana. The big difference? THC levels. Hemp has barely any THC - like, less than 0.3%. Marijuana, on the other hand, can pack a lot more THC punch. Thanks to growing popularity, there are now many options for consuming CBD. Some of the main product types include CBD oils, tinctures, capsules, and topical creams applied directly to the skin. Newer products are always popping into your local JARS. Try out the CBD drink enhancing powder Full-Spectrum CBD is like the whole package deal. It's got all the natural goodies from the cannabis plant, including a tiny bit of THC. Some folks swear by it, saying this mix works better for things like pain, anxiety, and swelling. They call it the "entourage effect" - like all these plant compounds are teaming up to help you out. Pretty cool, right? Just keep in mind that scientists are still figuring out exactly how well it works. Think of broad-spectrum CBD as the middle child between full-spectrum and isolates. It's not as common, and you'll usually find it as an oil. They take out most of the plant stuff but leave in compounds like CBD. Since it comes from hemp, there might be a trace of THC, but we're talking super small amounts. Last up is CBD Isolate. This is the purest form of CBD you can get - we're talking 99% pure. It's just CBD, without any other cannabis parts. In theory, you shouldn't feel any "high" effects since all the THC is gone. And if you're worried about drug tests, isolates are your best bet for avoiding a positive result. But remember, everyone's body is different, so there's no 100% guarantee. CBD's got a rep for being a real zen master. In one 2017 study, just 300mg helped people stay cool during a nerve-wracking speech. There's also a buzz about it potentially helping with the blues, though we're still waiting on more human studies. Let's face it, we could all use a little stress relief these days. The FDA's given the thumbs up to CBD meds like Epidiolex for some extreme seizure disorders such as Lennox-Gastaut and Dravet's. Several solid studies showed how CBD helps reduce seizures, leading to a fast-tracked approval. One specific study shows that taking 20mg of CBD twice a day drastically reduced the number of seizures patients experienced. On average, the monthly seizure count dropped from 12.4 to 5.9 per individual. Notably, 5% of those who received the treatment went without one single seizure throughout the course of the study. Early research looks promising - 10 out of 11 people with PTSD felt better after using CBD. There has also been a significant breakthrough for children with PTSD. Combining CBD oils with therapy really makes all the difference. One study showed CBD helped heroin users deal with cravings, anxiety, and racing hearts during withdrawal. Anything that could potentially save lives without major side effects is a big deal. Not only has CBD oil shown to treat addiction, but also helps patients completely avoid taking any sort of opioid in the first place. For ALS patients, a mix of CBD and a smidge of THC seemed to offer some serious symptom relief. Years of research proves that CBD has direct pain-relieving effects. It's possible that it can influence the pain pathways in the brain and spinal cord which changes how your body recognizes pain. Some people with nerve pain got relief from a CBD gel, without nasty side effects. Research has been mainly focused on using topical products for targeted pain relief. Many studies have been done using THC as well as CBD oil. There was a positive result of lowered side effects from sciatica nerve pain, but again, used along with THC. There's some buzz that CBD might help protect cells from high blood sugar damage. Scientists found that CBD boosted the levels of glucose-dependent insulinotropic peptide hormone, which has a job of making sure that insulin is released throughout your body when you eat. At the same time, it reduced the levels of resistin, a protein that contributes to insulin sensitivity and plays a role in regulating blood sugar. One study found that the CBD-based botanical drug, Sativex, helped people with rheumatoid arthritis sleep better and hurt less, both when moving and resting. This could be a game-changer for folks dealing with achy joints. Early studies hint that CBD might have antioxidant superpowers that could guard against brain diseases like Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. This New Zealand study showed very positive results for CBD use as an effective treatment to many of our pains and worries. Basically, our bodies have their own endocannabinoid system that interacts with the components of the cannabis plant, like CBD. Different parts of this system communicate with each other using receptors all over our bodies and brains. Scientists still need to study exactly how CBD and tiny bits of THC connect with receptors and influence how we feel physically and mentally. THC is what gives marijuana its famous "high" feeling since it binds strongly to certain receptors. Even in full spectrum CBD products though, you're only getting trace amounts of THC - not enough to feel mind-altered or anything. Some people think the tiny THC may boost how CBD works through something called an "entourage effect." The goal is finding relief without losing focus or coordination from THC's psychological effects. Dosage strengths can differ a lot between CBD products, from as little as 10 milligrams up to over 100, even some tinctures can pack a whopping 2500mg of CBD. Determining your ideal amount takes some trial and error while noticing how your body reacts. It's always best for newbies to start low and go slow. Plus it's smart talk dosage with your doctor too, since factors like your weight, medical history, and existing meds could play a role. Listen to your body's feedback to see what level feels right for you. The FDA recognizes CBD's potential but still needs more research. So far they've only approved one CBD medicine for epilepsy. But other CBD products aren't as tightly monitored as supplements yet either. Seems like the FDA wants to make sure anything out there helps people safely. The FDA is still learning but sees promise in CBD. They've greenlit one epilepsy med so far called Epidiolex. Over-the-counter CBD products aren’t regulated by the FDA in the same way as over-the-counter vitamins or supplements either. CBD comes from both hemp and marijuana, which are technically both cannabis but very different. Now the farm bill says domestically grown hemp with less than 0.3% THC is chill, but state laws vary a ton on recreational or medical marijuana use. Like anything, there can be downsides - some rare liver issues or interactions with meds were reported. Other side effects seem mild like sleepiness, tummy trouble, hunger or mood swings. But, knowing that CBD oils can help with your aches and pains, you can get back into your normal day-to-day life. Those CoAs (certificates of analysis) from third-party labs are so important. They guarantee what's on the bottle is actually in there and safe to use. Any and all information you need to know about the product should be found on the package. Watch out if the FDA has notified that a brand is making false claims about their CBD products - that's a red flag. And lawsuits too, those aren't a good sign either. Reputation and what real people say they felt is invaluable. Check all over, not just their own website reviews either. Consistency across multiple platforms is key. Snake oil sellers love to hype stuff that doesn't check out. Always check the CoA lab numbers and ingredients listed match what they claim. Your health is no joke! CBD from legal hemp is awesome because it has next to no THC. So you don't gotta stress about failing a drug test at your work or anything. And since hemp CBD is allowed nationwide, it's really accessible too. All kinds - full spectrum with bits of other cannabinoids, broad spectrum THC-free, isolates with just CBD alone. You can get them in oil droppers, gummies, lotions - whatever form fits your lifestyle best! Compared to weed-derived CBD that may have some THC or synthetic lab-made CBD. Hemp is naturally, gently sourced from plants we can all feel good about using. First things first, choose a reputable brand, check reviews online and look for COAs (lab tests). Try out full or broad-spectrum oil without THC. Start with a low dose, like 15-25mg, and see how your body reacts after 30 mins. Adjust up or down as needed. Find the time and place where it works best with your routine. Keep notes on how CBD makes you feel and how well it helps your goal, like better sleep, less aches, more relaxed state of mind. What is a Hash Hole: A Beginner’s Guide to Understanding Hash Holes
A hash hole is a type of infused pre-roll made with a mixture of cannabis flower and one or more concentrates. They combine the best of smoking and solventless concentrates in a single work of art. They are also commonly referred to as "donut holes", kinda cute right? Just imagine yourself taking a massive dab and at the same time smoking a pre-roll joint. Although still not gaining the popularity as quickly as edibles and concentrates, hash holes are beginning to peak some interest in us "high tolerance" smokers. You know how the luxury champagne comes out during special events? Moët & Chandon Dom Pérignon are prestigious just like a hash hole joint. A hash hole is a type of infused pre-roll made with a mixture of cannabis flower and one or more concentrates. They combine the best of smoking and solventless concentrates in a single work of art. They are also commonly referred to as "donut holes", kinda cute right? The special thing about hash holes is that the cannabis concentrate is placed between the ground cannabis flower, creating a hole in the middle of the joint as the hash melts and mixes with the flower with each puff. The center concentrate of the joint provides an additional kick with each inhale, intensifying the strength and taste of the blend. Anytime you're adding cannabis extracts alongside traditional buds, it increases the joint's strength, resulting in a more pleasurable smoking session. When hash holes are burned, their enhanced potency gives them a unique flavor. Their authentic appearance is due to the distinctive hole in the middle, setting them apart from other products on the market. They are often called donut joints due to their shape. Hash holes offer two important benefits: a unique smoking experience and a way to enjoy cannabis concentrates in a new way. They provide a more intense and potent high compared to traditional joints. Hash holes allow for a more controlled and precise dosage of cannabis concentrates. Step 1: You're going to need the following materials: at least at least 2 grams of flower. About 0.7 grams of concentrate. A grinder. King-size rolling papers. A filter tip or crutch. Some saliva and a lighter! Step 2: Start by using a grinder to finely grind your cannabis flower, making sure not to grind it into a powdery consistency, but rather a fine texture for an even burn. Step 3: Lay out a king-size rolling paper on a flat surface. Double- check that the adhesive side is facing you and the curved edge away from you. Evenly spread the ground flower in a rectangular shape in the middle of the paper. Step 4: Take your hash and roll it between your hands to form a snake or worm-like shape. Place the shaped hash directly into the center of the rectangular flower on the paper. Step 5: Grab the filter tip and position it at one end of the rolling paper. Step 6: Begin rolling the paper back and forth, using your thumbs to tuck the edge of the paper closest to you under the mix. Roll the paper carefully, making sure to pack the contents snugly without making it too stiff. Step 7: Slap a little spit (or some cigar glue) to moisten the sticky adhesive of the rolling paper. Step 8: Give the tip of the hash hole a little twist to seal it up and prep it for lighting. Anyone who can roll an absolute pearl of a joint with no issues are the first to think, "I can do this by myself!" While we aren't going to stop you and your masterful art, we do want you to think over just a couple of things. Let's just start off with obvious convenience factor. Would you rather have a speedy legal drug deal? In and out of the dispo in under 2 minutes. Or do you enjoy taking the quality time to craft an exquisite cannabis hash hole? It's perfect for those of you who don't have the confidence or time to roll the perfect hash hole. Purchasing it pre-rolled and ready to go takes all of the frustration and worry out of the process. Another major benefit of buying your hash hole joints at a dispensary is the variety of options available. You can try out different strains and even particular combinations of flower and concentrates. Finding the exact flavor and effect you want is more effective when your testing out different pre-rolls. JARS Cannabis always has deals on the best hash hole joints in town. Now, let's take a look at the cons to buying from a dispensary. Beginning with the lack of control you have over the quality and quatity of the flower and concentrate used. You might not know the exact strains used and there can be inconsistencies between different brands. For some of us, time is money. Paying a little extra for convenience is something we all do and sometimes without realizing it. Cough cough... food delivery services and that immediate drive-thru coffee. But, when it comes to a product you are consistently purchasing, the cost can add up down the road. Hash hole joints are considered a premium product, which means it comes with a premium price. The pros combat the cons of purchasing from a dispensary. The pros to buying are the cons to rolling your own. Plus a couple more perks and drawbacks you should know about doing it yourself. You are able to customize and have complete control over the products you use. Being able to tweak the flavors and potency is a major perk to rolling your own. Yeah, we don't really like to bring up the cost thing. But, if smoking hash hole joints isn't just for special occasions anymore, fewer daily trips to the dispo is the real money saver. Moving on to the drawbacks of rolling your own. The amount of time and effort you put in to learning, practicing, and perfecting the skill isn't everyone's cup of canna-hot cocoa. There are plenty of experienced weed users who have tried time and time again to get the process down. Then after several failed attempts, they end up just throwing that flower in a bowl and calling it a day. Overloading the Joint: One of the biggest mistakes is using too much concentrate or cannabis flower in the joint. Overloading can make the joint burn unevenly, affect the airflow, and potentially waste your precious stash. To avoid this, start with a moderate amount of concentrate and flower, ensuring an even distribution throughout the joint. Uneven Distribution: It's important to evenly distribute the concentrate and cannabis flower throughout the joint. Uneven distribution can result in an inconsistent burn and an imbalanced flavor profile. Take the time to mix the concentrate and flower thoroughly before rolling to ensure an even blend. Poor Rolling Technique: Rolling technique plays a crucial role in the overall quality of your hash hole joint. Common mistakes include rolling too loosely or too tightly, which can impact the burn rate and airflow. Practice your rolling technique, maintaining a firm but gentle pressure to create a well-constructed joint. Forgetting About Filter Tips: While filter tips are optional, they can greatly enhance the smoking experience by providing stability, airflow control, and reducing the chances of burning your lips. Forgetting to include a filter tip could result in a less enjoyable joint. Consider using filter tips for a more comfortable and enjoyable smoke. Experiment with Ratios: Play around with different ratios of hash or concentrates to flower to find the perfect balance that suits your preferences. Start with smaller amounts and gradually increase until you achieve the desired potency and flavor. Pace Yourself: Hash hole joints can be potent, so pace yourself and take it slow. Start with a small puff and wait a few minutes to gauge the effects before taking another hit. This will help you better manage the intensity and avoid overconsumption. Relax and Enjoy: Find a comfortable and relaxing environment to enjoy your hash hole joint. Create an ambiance that allows you to fully immerse yourself in the experience. Whether it's a cozy spot at home or a peaceful outdoor setting, take the time to unwind and enjoy the effects. When it comes to choosing the perfect extracts for hash holes, think about the texture of the concentrate. There are many different types ofcannabis concentrates available, like budders, sauces, jams, and honey. While all of these options can enhance infused joints, getting the right burning effect in hash holes depends on the texture. Choosing a solid concentrate, such as a badder or budder that can be easily rolled up in your hand, is the best choice to make sure that your hash holes burn effectively. When you light up a hash hole, the concentrate in the middle vaporizes more quickly than the surrounding bud, forming a tunnel or ‘hash hole’ through the joint. This type of joint is stronger than regular joints because of the concentrated hash. The melted hash provides potent, dab-like effects and enhances the flavors of the joint with its diverse terpene blend.Definition and explanation of hash holes
