Thanksgiving is right around the corner and we’re feeling thankful for our favorite plant—cannabis, of course. And there’s no better way to show our appreciation than to make a weed-infused meal to share with our loved ones.
Whether you have a really cool family or you’re going to a 420-friendly Friendsgiving, we’re here to share our three must-have cannabis-infused recipes to get the holiday season kicked off on a lit foot.
CBD or THC-infused Apple Cider Recipe
While you’re cooking up a storm in the kitchen, you’re going to want something to whet your appetite—and what better than a refreshing glass of apple cider? This classic fall beverage will delight your palate with the flavors of sweet apples, bright oranges, and an array of baking spices to give it that autumn vibe.
To infuse this pre-dinner drink, all you have to do is grab a THC or CBD tincture of your choice. Just a few drops in every glass will have you feeling ready to devour your plate of turkey and mashed potatoes.
Ingredients
Makes about 12 servings
10 medium apples (varying types), cut into quarters
1 orange, cut into quarters
4 cinnamon sticks
½ tablespoon cloves
16 cups water, more or less
1/2 cup brown sugar or pure maple syrup
CBD or THC tincture of choice (amount depends on desired dosage)
Optional spices: ½ teaspoon allspice, ½ teaspoon nutmeg, and/or 1 inch fresh ginger
Instructions
In a large stockpot over medium heat or a crockpot on medium, add apples, oranges, spices, and brown sugar. Cover the mixture with water by at least two inches. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer, covered, for about two hours.
Once apples are soft, use a potato masher, rubber spatula, or wooden spoon to mash the fruit. Return cider to a simmer and let it do its thing uncovered for one hour.
Strain through a fine mesh strainer or cheeseclots, pressing on the leftover solids with a wooden spoon or rubber spatula to squeeze all of the juices out. Toss the leftovers.
Serve apple cider warm with a few drops of tincture to finish it off. Bonus points for garnishing with extra fruit or a cinnamon stick.
Cannabis-infused Sweet Potato Casserole Recipe
Let’s be honest. Thanksgiving dinner is all about the sides. Whether it’s the green beans, macaroni and cheese, fluffy dinner rolls or anything in between, everyone has their favorites. And one of the most popular Thanksgiving side dishes, is sweet potato casserole.
It’s sweet, it’s savory, and this version is filled with weed. To give this timeless dish an herbal twist, make a batch of cannabutter ahead of time. Then, add it to the casserole for an unforgettable finish.
Ingredients
Makes about 7 servings
Filling:
4 tablespoons unsalted butter/cannabutter, melted (ratio and amount will depend on desired dosage)
Extra butter to grease the baking dish
3-4 large sweet potatoes (roughly 1 3/4 pounds), peeled and cubed
1/2 cup milk of your choice
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 large eggs
Topping:
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup chopped pecans, almonds or walnuts
Optional: 1 ½ cup marshmallows
Instructions
For the filling: Add the peeled and cubed sweet potatoes to a large pot of salted water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then lower the heat to a simmer and cook until the potatoes are soft, usually about 15 to 20 minutes.
Drain and cool. Then, mash the potatoes until smooth (a few lumps are perfectly normal) and set aside.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and butter a 2-quart baking dish.
Whisk together the butter, cannabutter, mashed sweet potatoes, milk, brown sugar, vanilla, salt, and eggs in a large bowl. Transfer to the prepared baking dish.
For the topping: Combine the flour, brown sugar, butter, and salt in a bowl until moist and the mixture starts to clump together. Fold in the nuts.
Spread the mixture over the top of the sweet potatoes in an even layer. Top with marshmallow if you’d like.
Bake for about 25 to 30 minutes or until mostly set in the center and golden on top. Serve hot enjoy.
Cannabis-infused Salted Caramel Cookies
Pumpkin pies are fun and all but few things feel like fall as much as salted caramel. Toss it in some cookies and you have a crowd-pleasing dessert on your hands. These buttery, cannabis-infused cookies hit all the right notes as you bring your night to a close.
Just grab your cannabutter and a few simple ingredients to impress the socks off your loved ones—or just make a batch for yourself. We won’t tell.
Ingredients
Makes about 36 cookies
1 cup unsalted butter/cannabutter, softened (ratio and amount depends on desired dosage)
1 cup white sugar (cane sugar is fine)
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 large eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon sea salt
2 cups caramel chips (or soft caramel chews roughly chopped)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking pan with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat and set aside.
In a medium bowl mix together flour, baking soda, sea salt, and baking powder. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugars until well combined.
Beat in eggs and vanilla until fluffy.
Mix in the dry ingredients until fully combined.
Fold caramel chips into the dough until evenly distributed.
Roll about 2 tablespoons of dough at a time into balls and place them evenly spaced on your prepared cookie sheets. Pro-tip: Use a cookie scoop to make things simple. Sprinkle each cookie with sea salt before placing in the oven.
Bake in preheated oven for approximately 8-10 minutes. Take them out when they are juuuust beginning to brown at the edges. Be careful not to overbake.
Let them sit on the baking pan for a few minutes before removing to a cooling rack to cool completely. Or just devour them when they’re cool enough to touch. Your call.

Cannabis and Mental Health
Cannabis has long been used as a natural remedy for various ailments, including physical pain, nausea, and anxiety. In recent years, there has been growing interest in the potential of cannabis to help manage mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
Cannabis and Mental Health: Separating Fact from Fiction
Cannabis has long been used as a natural remedy for various ailments, including physical pain, nausea, and anxiety. In recent years, there has been growing interest in the potential of cannabis to help manage mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD. However, as with any new or alternative treatment, there are many misconceptions and myths surrounding the use of cannabis for mental health. This blog post will explore the facts and fiction of cannabis and mental health, focusing on evidence-based research and analysis.
Myth: Cannabis is a Cure-All for Mental Health Conditions
One of the most common misconceptions surrounding cannabis and mental health is that cannabis is a cure-all for various conditions. While some studies have shown that cannabis can effectively manage symptoms of certain mental health conditions, such as anxiety and PTSD, it is essential to note that it is not a one-size-fits-all solution. Every individual's experience with mental health is unique, and what works for one person may not work for another.
Fact: Cannabis Can Help Manage or Offer Relief for Certain Mental Health Conditions
Although cannabis may not be a cure-all for mental health, growing evidence suggests that it can effectively manage symptoms of certain conditions. For example, research has shown that cannabis can help reduce anxiety symptoms, such as racing thoughts and restlessness. It may also help manage symptoms of PTSD, such as nightmares and flashbacks. Additionally, some studies have shown that cannabis may be effective in managing symptoms of depression, such as low mood and fatigue.
It is important to note, however, that the effectiveness of cannabis in managing mental health symptoms can vary depending on a variety of factors, including the type of cannabis used, the method of consumption, and the individual's unique biology and mental health history.
Myth: Cannabis Causes Mental Health Problems
Another common myth surrounding cannabis and mental health is that cannabis can cause mental health problems like schizophrenia and psychosis. While some evidence suggests that cannabis use may increase the risk of developing these conditions in some individuals, it is essential to note that the relationship between cannabis and mental health is complex and multifaceted.
Myth: All Cannabis Products are Created Equal
Another common misconception surrounding cannabis and mental health is that all cannabis products are created equal. Many believe that any cannabis product will provide the same benefits or effects, regardless of the strain or method of consumption.
Fact: Different Cannabis Products Can Have Different Effects
In reality, different cannabis products can have vastly different effects, depending on the strain and method of consumption. For example, some strains of cannabis may be more effective in managing symptoms of anxiety, while others may be more effective in managing symptoms of depression.
Different consumption methods, such as smoking, vaping, or edibles, can also have different effects on the body and mind. Individuals need to work with a knowledgeable and experienced cannabis professional to identify the correct strain and method of consumption for their unique needs and preferences.

Budtender Matchmaking: 8 Tips for Finding Your Cannabis Soulmate
If you're a cannabis user, you know how important it is to have a good relationship with your budtender. A good budtender is like a trusted advisor, guiding you through the dizzying array of strains and products to help you find the perfect cannabis experience.
But how do you find the perfect budtender? It can be challenging. There are a lot of factors to consider, from their knowledge of cannabis to their personality and communication skills. Here are eight tips to help you find the perfect budtender.
Look for someone with a sense of humor.
Cannabis is supposed to be fun. So looking for a budtender with a good sense of humor makes sense. A little fun can go a long way in making your cannabis shopping experience more enjoyable and stress-free. In addition, a budtender with a sense of humor will likely be more approachable and easier to talk to.
Find someone who listens
The best budtenders are good listeners. They take the time to understand your needs and concerns and help you find the right strain or product for your specific needs. They won't just try to sell you the most expensive item in the store. Instead, they'll ask questions, provide recommendations, and ensure you feel comfortable and confident with your purchase.
Ask for recommendations
If you're new to cannabis or just visiting a new dispensary, don't hesitate to ask other customers or staff members for recommendations. They might know of a budtender who is exceptionally knowledgeable or has a great personality. Plus, asking for recommendations can be a great way to start a conversation and get to know other cannabis enthusiasts.
Look for someone passionate about cannabis
The best budtenders are passionate about cannabis. They love their work and are excited to share their knowledge and expertise. A passionate budtender will be able to answer all your questions, provide valuable insights into the world of cannabis, and help you discover new strains and products that you might not have otherwise considered.
Find someone who is patient
Shopping for cannabis can be overwhelming, especially if you're new. A good budtender will be patient and understanding, answering all your questions and helping you navigate the sometimes confusing world of strains, terpenes, and effects. Look for someone willing to take the time to help you find what you're looking for without rushing you or making you feel like you're inconveniencing them.
Find someone who is honest
Honesty is always the best policy, and that goes for budtenders too. A good budtender will be honest with you about the products they are selling, giving you a realistic idea of each strain or product's effects, benefits, and drawbacks.
They won't exaggerate the effects or benefits of a particular strain to make a sale. They'll provide you with all the information you need to make an informed decision and will be transparent about any potential risks or side effects.

Look for someone well-informed
The world of cannabis is constantly evolving, with new strains, products, and research continually emerging. A great budtender will stay up to date on the latest trends and developments in the industry and will be able to provide you with valuable insights and recommendations. For example, they'll know the difference between a Sativa and an Indica, be able to explain the effects of different terpenes and help you find the strains that are best suited to your needs.
Find someone who is friendly
Last but not least, look for a friendly and welcoming budtender. They should make you feel at home in the dispensary and put you at ease throughout the buying process. A friendly budtender will be easy to talk to, approachable, and happy to answer any questions you might have. They'll be a trusted advisor and a valuable resource, helping you explore the wonderful world of cannabis.
In conclusion, finding the perfect budtender is about finding someone knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about cannabis. By following these ten tips, you should be able to find the budtender of your dreams and enjoy a stress-free and enjoyable cannabis shopping experience. Whether you're a seasoned smoker or a curious newcomer, a good budtender can make all the difference. So don't be afraid to ask questions, seek recommendations, and find the perfect budtender.
